The work Into the Wastelands is an exploration of the collective unconscious, intertwining eternal myths and stories about the feeling of freedom with one’s own experience of wildness. search for the wild soul that appears to be deeply entombed and endangered in our fast-paced, destructive age. The mixed media installation consisting of a 2-channel video installation and the lyrical inscription of the walls with luminescent paint raises open questions about the cycles of this search, the ramifications and rites of this path. It is a quest loaded with contrasts running along dual tracks, merging the dichotomy of vulnerable uncertainty on the one hand and the shamanic rituality that this path entails on the other.
