My fascination is with vulnerability, sincerity, rawness. The power of my work lies in its mysterious existence, and in this it resembles nature. If you skin a work like a grapefruit, you will combat its power. They say you can never observe the action of an atom under a microscope because the light itself changes the motion of the atom. My essence, my work, my being is nature. I slither through the fangs of your ratio as butter squirts through your clenched fifists.
Eleni Gaggini (*1996) has been enrolled in the Bachelor of Fine Arts and is currently studying Art Education at the Zurich University of the Arts. Having broken out of the rigid structures of her law studies, in her artistic work she explores in depth access to spheres of the collective unconscious and is deeply engaged in expanding perception as an artist and yoga teacher. With a palette of media ranging from photography and video to installation and performance, she is interested in creating spaces in which physical closeness to the other can be experienced while simultaneously exploring and questioning one’s own self. The human body in its presence and structures of nature are recurring components in her work.
