For 20 days I wrote personal love letters to nature, asking questions about our relationship with it. A hop plant in its autumnal stage, grew with my increasing insights, or perhaps with my increasing confusion about the encounters of humans and nature.
The work Dear Nature? explores the human relationship to nature through a collective-collaborative process as part of the Cultural Night on September 25, 2021. Participants were invited to meditate, imagine, and think together in a one-hour workshop as a way to write collective love letters to nature. Subsequently, these letters were performed together in an initiation ritual. The hop plant was planted next to the museum along with the love letters.
